It was 10th April 1986, a Thursday morning. Dr. Motilal Gupta was on his way to Connaught Place for some business work. As he dropped his wife near the stairs of the Shirdi Sai Baba temple at Lodhi Road, New Delhi, an inner voice called upon him to climb up too. He was drawn inside and as he stood in front of the sanctum sanctorum, for the very first time, he felt that he was born in this world only to be Sai’s devotee. A gold-medallist from Banaras Hindu University and a successful businessman renounced his business and established Shirdi Sai Baba Temple Society at Faridabad to spread the message of Sai Baba, that of love and service.
Today the NGO serves the underprivileged by providing free-of-cost – quality education to 2000 needy children through its two schools, health care through its 18 dispensaries, vocational training with placements, organizes mass marriages for couples from disadvantaged sections of the society and distributes clothes & sanitary napkins in the far flung villages of the country.
This biography is a tribute to this saint whose benedictions come true as the outstanding philanthropist is in union with Sai Baba.
